The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
The site needs some new content. Let's each post our top 10 moments in FFXII and after enough people contribute, we can compile a list of the average top 10 choices and vote on which moments should top the list. If we have enough participants I will publish the final results on the main site as well.
I haven't played in a long time due to my PS2 system/games being back in America, therefore I can't recall the game well enough at this time to post my opinion. Perhaps it will all come back to me soon, though, and then I can contribute. Let's see those top 10 lists! ![]() Webmaster @ Final Fantasy XII US! RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
EDIT: All right, I'll use my "one-sentence descriptors."
1. Ch 6 - Imperial Palace (Archadia): Gabby's "Vader Moments": Drace passes away. (That was the first FFXII scene I watched from fade in till fade out. I was like, "WTF is going on?! Aren't these the bad guys? Shouldn't the all-too-good leading cast fight all of them?!" But then I realized, maybe she'll be revived later on. Which is something that never happened.) 2. Ch 6 - Bur-Omisace: Before the battle against Judge Bergan. (I never had the interest to watch this scene during my first playthrough. In my second playthrough, though, I even tried to memorized what he said. Due to that specific speech, Bergan is my fave Judge Magister. LAWL.) 3. Ch 9 - Pharos Ridorana: GVM: He reveals everything. (I was kinda sad; there was no "I am your Father!". I was expecting that line.) 4. Ch 9 - Pharos Ridorana: Reddas's sacrifice. (...Yeah.) 5. Ch 10 - Bahamut: GVM: He fights against Vayne. (And everything that follows) 6. Ch 10 - Bahamut: GVM: Gabranth loses to the party again. 7. Ch 6 - Imperial Palace (Archadia) : Drace & Bergan's first appearance. 8. Ch 6 - Bur-Omisace: Judge Bergan battle. (Memorable why? It was the first time I got a game over on all my first playthrough. The english version [just once, though], the japanese version [uncountable times. Dear Tarvos, he pwned my party HARD], and the international [once]) 9. Trial Mode Stage 100: Judges vs Party. (One word: PWNED!) 10. Ch 6 - Eruyt: Vaan asks Fran's age. LAWL. It's kinda hard to choose 10 from a lot of moments... Gab's Vader Moments (GVM) are made of pure epicness. TEAM CONAN

RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
Thanks for participating. I should have been a bit clearer, though.
Please number it from 10 to 1. 1 being the most memorable. Also, if you use a quotation, please include who says it and to whom he or she is speaking. Note, however, that exact quotations are not necessary for the time being. Simply saying something like "when Vaan asks Fran how old she is in Eruyt Village" will suffice. ![]() Webmaster @ Final Fantasy XII US! RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
Ohhhh, this sounds like fun!! 8D
1. After defeating Gilgamesh, you inspect the Wyrmhero Blade to reveal that it looks like "Just an ordinary blade of legend." as an in joke to those that have played the Dragon Warrior/Dragon Quest series, as the same exact sword was used as the "legendary sword" for the first three games. So when you walk away, Gilgamesh stealthily sneaks back his copy of the sword. I laugh every time I watch that. >__> 2. When you first meet Gilgamesh, and he smashes his head on the bridge, and Ediknu and the party are just staring at each other like, "what-" o__o;; 3. Gilgamesh hands over the Matamune, because he found a fishing rod through a spelling error. (Masamune <==> Matamune ) As you can see, I like Gilgamesh >__> 4. When you get to run around screaming "I'M CAPTIAN BASCH VON RAUSENBURG OF DALMASCA!" "DON'T BELIEVE ONDORE'S LIES!" 5. When Vaan asks Fran how old she is in her village, and Larsa calls him rude. (as everyone else) 6. Fighting Yiazmat---I mean, Watching the movies "Zoolander", "3:10 To Yuma", "Advent Children" while flipping back to check on the game every now and then fighting Yiazmat. 7. Vaan pretending to be Larsa while flying to the Bahamut. "Ive got the Princess covered." ![]() 8. Getting the elixir and knot of rust from Jovvy....the elixir was great, but a spec of freaking rust? Thanks, pal.....;;>__> 9. Finding the gil that the unlucky merchant's Chocobo keeps stealing and spreading around. Naughty Chocobo. XD 10. When Vaan took up Gabranth's sword and shanked Vayne. I was waiting for it, and the first time I saw it, I was cheering, I creamed myself. Damnit Yizmat, you took away a total of fifteen hours of my life, and I want them back! ...eh, would'a wasted them anyway.... |

RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
Another great idea from Jed! Cool! I'm short on time today, so I'll just list one. In the past I didn't keep up as much with what new games were coming out when. So on Christmas morning my husband surprised me with the newest edition of Final Fantasy, FFXII! It was really cool to open that and not know a new one even existed. I doubt he can ever get me again though, I'm paying too much attention now. So my number one is
1. Opening FFXII on Christmas morning.

RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
I meant more along the lines of in-game moments, actually. But that's a good one, too.
I'll be sure to include it in there somewhere!A note to all: Please remember to number your lists from 10 to 1, with 1 being the most memorable. ![]() Webmaster @ Final Fantasy XII US! Also check out my cute resource for Random Moogle Quotes at KupoKupo! |

RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
I have no top 10 sorry.
If I had a top 10, it would be my number two, Fixing Brady's Guide which they made a profit from everyone, I included. My number one again is indirectly FFXII, but it relates to FFXII.

RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
10. Hmmm. 10 is a lot to think up. Going back........ Okay first getting the game and starting to complete hunts. The Wraith was hard for me? Actually it's the Brady Guide's fault. They said to have your Remedy Lore at level 3. So totally unnecessary since there's a Save Crystal nearby. So I guess this all boils down to finally realizing how useless and horrible the guide is. It's actually outright wrong at times. It taught me to think on my own. Thanks to that horrible guide, I've discovered really innovative ways to deal with problems. Now if I could only figure out my taxes.
9. Getting a Black Hole. I know most people have done this, but I'm not that great a player really. I hate doing things like the Footrace and the Bhujerban Madhu and the Fishing. I despise the Archades Match-up. Those things take patience (endless) and skill (only occasionally). But the Black Hole is so damned elusive and requires only an understanding of Quickenings and--or course--a little luck. So to get one was fun. Now I'm doing a perfecter game and still don't have one. I guess I'll have to go slam a few wolves on the Giza. 8. Getting my first Ribbon. Who cares, really? But it was a real thrill for me. Such a thrill that I proceeded to get as many as I could from every possible means: chests, Vishnu, Level 99 Red Chocobo. I guess it was an addiction of sorts. I MUST HAVE THAT RIBBON. I'm still that way. Every game should have a Ribbon or the equivalent. I hate and despise games that have no Ribbons. Ribbon Ribbon Ribbon Ribbon Ribbon. (Say that enough times and it starts to sound strange.) 7. Getting the Yagyu Darkblade and the Danjuro Dagger. They're not really that great (well, the Yagyu has its advantages), but boy were they hard to acquire. Same with the Grand Armor. Damn. 6. Finally beating Yiazmat. Really, finally finishing any of those unnecessarily endless fights, not because they're impossible but because they're BORING. Why in the WORLD would they make a beast with 50,000,000 HP? I hate whoever did that. I hate them. 5. Fran's response to the "age" question, and everyone elses' responses. Especially Penelo's: "Try to grow up please". 4. Fran's response to the Bolito hunt reward: a glaring and ferocious silence when she thought there was nothing. "Tough crowd" indeed. 3. Fran's response to Jule's shenanigans about chops and such. Again, only "the look". I've mentioned Fran 3 times now and I don't even like her. Strange... 2. Beating Chaos with Knots of Rust since that was the only thing left after his having canceled physical attacks and oblitered all the party's magic. Now I go in much more prepared. 1. Defeating Zodiark in a Penelo solo, even when his Darkja wiped me out 8/9 times. I mean there's a percentage on those death-type attacks, and I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be that high. So even with the odds against me I persisted. DIE DIE DIE. I didn't put Gilgamesh in there, but I love him. He's so much fun. I laugh throughout the whole fight. He's so silly falling off the bridge and fixating on his Sword of Legend. I mean there he is with the Tournesol and Squall's Gunblade and who knows what else. It's hilarious. And what's with the dog? Every color of the rainbow and as deadly as a green mamba. Kill the dog immediately, or his Crushing Fangs will definitely kill you. So anyway, Gilgamesh deserves a special place of honor. He figures in every Final Fantasy game, so he exceeds the demands of the question... he's a memorable favorite in every FF game.

RE: The 10 Most Memorable Moments in Final Fantasy 12
Thank you for your answers thus far. I am still hoping to get a bit more participation out of this, though. It's difficult to compile an average top 10 list without more than a few opinions...
